Location

WordCamp Long Beach was held at The Pointe under the Pyramid at Cal State Long Beach.

The Pointe

The Pointe Conference Center is located at street level next to/underneath the stairs of the “Yellow Entrance” to the Walter Pyramid (it’s the main entrance facing the parking lot). Follow our way-finding signs!

Parking

Park in the parking structure directly south of the Pyramid.

Airport

The Long Beach Airport is a great airport! We highly recommend you fly directly into Long Beach if you’re able to do so… it has quick security lines and nice terminals! JetBlue, Southwest, and Delta are the main airlines at LGB and have lots of direct flights in and out. (LAX and the Santa Ana airport are also options, but we’re proud of our nifty lil’ airport!)

Directions

From Downtown Long Beach

  • Take Atlantic or Alamitos Ave north to 7th St.
  • Turn right on 7th St.
  • Turn left on Bellflower Blvd.
  • Turn right on Atherton St.
  • Turn right into campus on Merriam Way.
  • Park in the parking structure.

From LAX, Santa Monica, West LA

  • Take the 405 south and exit at Bellflower Blvd.
  • Turn left from the off-ramp and then make an immediate right on Bellflower Blvd.
  • Turn left at Atherton St.
  • Turn right into campus on Merriam Way.
  • Park in the parking structure.

From Orange County

  • Take the 405 north or 22 west.
  • The two freeways merge and continue on the 405 north.
  • Exit at Palo Verde.
  • Turn left onto Palo Verde.
  • Turn right on Atherton St.
  • Turn left into campus on Merriam Way.
  • Park in the parking structure.

From Downtown LA, East LA

  • Take the 605 south to the 405 North.
  • Exit at Palo Verde.
  • Turn left onto Palo Verde.
  • Turn right on Atherton St.
