Would you like to give back to the WordPress community? Be part of the crew embarking on<em> the first<\/em> WordCamp Long Beach? Volunteering is a great way to get involved! We&#8217;re looking for folks with various abilities and availability, so anyone is welcome to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Volunteer Roles and Duties<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are some roles we\u2019re looking for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Registration and Swag: <\/strong>Greeting and checking in attendees. Handing out schedules and cool goodies :).&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Room Monitor and Emcee: <\/strong>Supporting speakers in session rooms with setup and <a id=\"PXLINK_0_0_0\" class=\"pxInta\" href=\"#\">time tracking<\/a>. Introducing speakers and audience announcements.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Happiness Bar: <\/strong> Helping attendees with WordPress questions and troubleshooting. <\/li><li><strong>Setup and Clean Up: <\/strong>All volunteers are expected to help with tasks related to setting up and wrapping up the event in some capacity. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And several others!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Special Note<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that while we would cover the ticket cost for volunteers, it is not just &#8220;free admission&#8221;- we&#8217;ll need your help to make sure the event runs smoothly for everyone!
